hackback - no more free windows

December 12th, 2007

That was a short-lived offer by Microsoft, but they pulled the plug. Either too many people wanted to get it for free or privacy advocates have indeed clamped down on the issue. I think the issue would be  transferred licenses1. Think corner shops that otherwise sell pirated copies of Windows. Now they would sell ‘legal’ copies, but the customer wouldn’t be the wiser - and their whole life would be under the watchful eyes of Microsoft.

  1. If the specific EULA for this program permits that []

Not that I ever hoped otherwise, but miss Rich Bitch Hilton is out of prison. You’re all probably wondering why the heck I’m so bothered about this. I think such explanations aren’t necessary - just remember that we’re all supposed to be equal in front of and under the law.

oh yeah, 23

bitch, please

I was under the impression that a sentence reduction for good behaviour is something you are eligible for only after you’ve actually started that sentence. I might be able to understand the ‘private’ holding block as a way to protect the Heiress from being bitch-slapped; but 23? Half before she’s even in. This of course is only the justice system doing it’s thing.

Bernie S and KDM weren’t that lucky. Wonder why…

hackback: in support of Gramo

February 8th, 2007

Eduard has provided the pictures that created the controversy surrounding Gramo’s World and the Romanian lecturer that got in trouble over it. I will post them at the end of this post so as to support freedom of expression and resistance against censorship.

A quick synopsis of the story, in English, was made available by Gramo here. Too bad there is less information in it than the original, full-length article.
