wikipedia news

June 29th, 2007

A whole new level of reporting can be done with a little help from the parties concerned. After it would seem Chris Benoit’s wife’s death was posted before authorities knew of it, the question of “who did it?” is in a lot of people’s minds.

What if Benoit himself edited the page after doing his wife in? And, even more, what if the Klebold/Harris’ of the world start posting these things on Wikipedia as1 they happen? That would put real-time news into a whole new perspective. It would also bring about some really nasty demands of WikiMedia, especially surrounding their anonymous editing policy and whatnot.
