youtube dock

June 13th, 2007

Some of you might have already seen this: when a YouTube clip is done, the “Related” videos are now shown in a fashion identical to that of the Apple dock.

YouTube-Dock

Guess Eric Schmidt on the Board of Apple really does mean more things will be happening between the two companies. Which is a good thing in my books. YouTube is also transcoding all of its videos to h.264 and will begin streaming them to AppleTV. Quid pro quo.

UPDATE: At this point I’ve only been able to see some embedded clips use this feature, however I’m sure it is only a matter of time; on YouTube there is a message advising that “We are currently performing site maintenance so a few features aren’t available. We’ll be back in a bit.”

UPDATE: Added a screenshot in case you didn’t come across this yet.
