Anonymous Information Dissemination. A list of relatively brief ideas on how somebody could disseminate information through anonymous means. Possibly useful to whistleblowers, freedom fighters, free speech activists, revolutionaries.

Disclaimer: There are less-noble reasons for using these hint lists. Like water quenches thirst or suffocates by drowning. Use at your own risk and by your own judgement.

Motivation

Dark times loom upon us. OK, maybe it’s not that dramatic, but truth be told it becomes harder and harder for people that want to share information that may be of general use to do so. Whether it’s journalists being persecuted by governments, whistleblowers that want to give up incriminating information about various companies or just people living in police-state regimes that want to speak their mind, there is an increasing need for anonymous means to do so. With all the laws passing around lately in the ‘free’ world [US, UK, even Canada unfortunately] 1984 is fast approaching and when it comes about, what I write here - if of any value, of course - would be censored. So get ready (for the last verse)!

Technology is the weapon. Fights are always multi-faceted and involve numerous disciplines, but the power of the Internet [to use a cliché] is what sets it apart as a good medium to hit back. It has it’s own rules - largely unwritten, generally flexible - that one can really take advantage of. But enough ranting. I hope you’ll find some use - or at least something to think about - in some of the upcoming posts.
